Please verify whether you accept or do not accept the software license agreement before purchasing and installing the software.

Payments

The easiest way to obtain a Log4E Pro 1.x license is to use the PayPal service. If not already done, you have to create an account. The service is for free.

The transaction charge is free for the sender.

Register Information

When PayPal sent us an email to confirm the successful transaction, we will generate the license key and send it to your email address. If you obtained a Single Desktop License you will receive these informations which has to be filled in the register sheet of Log4E (see below):
  • Your First Name
  • Your Last Name
  • Your Email
  • Registration Key


If you obtained a Team License, we presume that you don't want to bind the licenses to real persons rather than binding them to your company name. Therefore, we will create 10 licenses providing these informations:
  • Your company name (instead of first name)
  • a number between 1 and 10 (instead of last name)
  • Your company contact email
  • Registration Key

Registration process

Once you've received the license, you have two alternatives to provide the registration key to Log4E.

Register sheet (Alternative 1)

Follow these steps:
  • In Eclipse go to the main menu Window > Preferences
  • go to the root preference page of Log4E
  • Press the 'Register' button
  • Fill in the provided information in the pop up window
    (The register preference page will be updated after re-opening it)

Copy license.txt (Alternative 2)

Alternatively, you can directly copy the license.txt to appropiate path. The license.txt file is attached in the email you received. Follow these steps assuming your workspace is placed in C:\eclipse\workspace:
  • Copy license.txt to C:\eclipse\workspace\.metadata\.plugins\de.jayefem.log4e
  • (Re-)start Eclipse
If you obtained team licenses (license_xx.txt), there's no need to rename them (since Log4E version 1.0.4).
